The Hobbit has offered a truly elegant dining experience since 1972 winning numerous awards in the process. A seven course prix-fixe meal begins with Champagne and hors d'oeuvres in our award winning wine cellar.
Once seated diners enjoy an appetizer, a fish or fowl course and salad course, and then a brief intermission follows to meet the chef-proprietor, Michael Phillipi and his wife Debra or linger on the patio before settling in for the main course and dessert.

Shrimp toast - fresh shrimp, cilantro, scallion, garlic sesame seeds; fried and served with 3 dipping sauces: soy, spicy sambal, lemongrass
Pan Roasted Scallops (GF) - two fresh scallops, piccalilli, Indian style parsnip chips, buttermilk, jalapeno slices
Buffalo Oysters - fresh oysters, homemade buffallo sauce, shaved celery bleu cheese 
Soup Du Jour (GF) - our Chef's daily selection, please ask your server

Caesar Salad - fresh chopped romaine hearts, homemade Caesar dressing, shaved parmesan, garlic croutons
Orange Poppy Seed & Goat Cheese Salad (GF) - mixed greens tossed in an orange poppy seed dressing with goat chesse and toated pine nuts
House Salad (GF) - mixed greens, fresh garden vegetables, creamy homemade Italian vinaigrette

Daily Catch (GF) - Roasted fresh fish of the day, macadamia encrusted. Thai cucumber mint salad, red curry sauce over coconut rice
Guinnes Braised Short Rib - over vegetable root puree, salted caramel onions, homemade onion rings, braising reduction
Duck Leg Cassoulet (GF)  - roasted duck legs & thighs, roasted vegetables, white beans, thick cut bacon, Orange BBQ, thyme
Tonno (Tuna) Alla Grigula - fresh Ahi Tuna, grilled to medium rare over a tomato, olive, caper and herb salad
Crab cake (GF) - 5 ounce fresh all jumbo lump crab cake, sprinkled with Old Bay, served with chef's choice of vegetable and roasted potatoes 

Dessert: (choose one)
Mary's Delight - our house specialty for over 30 years. Crushed walnut crust, thin layer of sweetened cream cheese, chocolate pudding, homemade whipped cream
Cream Brulee (GF) - creamy vanilla custard finished with a caramelized sugar coating

Ocean City Spring Restaurant Week
Many spectacular restaurants will create special menus designed to tempt your taste buds. Special, fixed-priced menus will be offered throughout the two-week event. They may offer a $10, $20, $30 or $40 fixed menu price that may even include dessert!
No passes, tickets or coupons are required. Just simply choose a participating restaurant and dine out during the dates of the promotion.
