In our opinion, the new TownCenter on 67^th Street is Ocean City’s most exciting shopping experience north of our boardwalk. Not only does the midtown  shopping center offer specialty shops such as Ron Jon Surf Shop, the Juice Shack, another Dolle’s location, Sweet Frog frozen yogurt and a gourmet restaurant(Longboard Café)… it also offers something for the fashion lovers out there. Enter: Summer House Trading Co.

We stepped into Summer House a few days ago after wandering around the promenade and were immediately drawn to the unique inventory, the décor, and don’t even get us started on the employees, who are unbelievably helpful. “We have been super busy this summer, we’ve established ourselves as a business in Ocean City and more people seem to have heard of us,” reported one of the Summer House employees. Like most businesses in Ocean City, they felt Memorial Day Weekend really kicked off the summer for them. “We were really busy starting at the end of May and have stayed pretty steady… it was jam-packed on Fourth of July.”

The employees are passionate about the brands the store carries and are sure to help you find the perfect gift for a friend or to treat yourself to a little something. Summer House carries a multitude of popular southern “life-style” brands such as Lilly Pulitzer, Salt Life, Southern Tide, Spartina Bags and Mud Pie.

When you first walk in the first thing that catches your eye is the wall of Lilly Pulitzer accessories, they carry everything from Lilly acrylic wine glasses to sunglass croakies to agendas for school. (Perfect for the upcoming fall semester.) They have an entire display set up with beach bags, purses and totes and tee shirts with some of our favorite brands. They also have an extensive collection of bath products, soaps and candles. Last but not least, towards the back of the store is where you can do some real damage, adorable throw pillows line the walls and racks upon racks of cover ups are hung up offering you plenty of options for any occasion.
