Ocean City Event Detail

Wicomico County Tourism is hosting its third photo walk event this month — and this one has a twist. You're invited to experience the sunrise in the village of Whitehaven.  The photo walk will be held Saturday, Oct. 23, from 6:45-8:45 a.m. The sunrise is at 7:20, which will give everyone a chance to get set up and see the colors as they start to rise above the water. After the sunrise, we'll take a walk through the small village to capture more photos. 

Meet at the Whitehaven Ferry, located at 23865 River St., Quantico, MD 21856 (Whitehaven has a Quantico zip code). There is no parking area, so you may need to park on the street (don't block any driveways). Don't plan to ride the ferry to get to Whitehaven, as it does not open until 7 a.m.; however, we can ride the free ferry for photo opportunities. 

Photographers of all levels of experience and camera types — from phone to digital SLR — are welcome. Interact with other photographers, explore the area and have your work shared in our community.

Use the hashtags #funwicomico and #wicomicophotowalk, and we'll share photos taken at the event in a future Wicomico County Tourism blog post and on social media, with credit, of course. 

The event is free to attend, but all attendees must sign up in advance and bring their own camera.
