Located on 125th Street and the Bay, Northside Park is Ocean City's largest and most popular park facility. Home to the Recreation and Parks Department's Administrative offices, the 58 acre complex boasts three lighted softball/baseball fields, a lighted soccer field, multipurpose field, a fishing lagoon, a foot bridge, concession stands, two playgrounds, picnic area, two piers, a gazebo, walking/jogging paths, and a large building with a 14,200 square foot gymnasium, kitchen, community room, conference room, patio, sitting areas, and a sports center annex with a 21,000 square foot multi-sport sports arena.

For over twenty-five years, Winterfest of Lights has delighted families with its holiday light displays, music and attractions. 

Take a ride through 58-acres of animated displays on the Winterfest Express. Board the train and enjoy the synchronized holiday music as you glide past spectacular lighted displays, including the Twelve Days of Christmas and other favorite holiday themes. 

Visit the heated Winterfest pavilion, buy a cup of hot chocolate at the OC Recreation Boosters Café, and browse the Gift Shop for that special stocking stuffer or gift. Santa and Mrs. Claus are available for photos every night until December 23. On New Year’s Eve, ring in the New Year with entertainment, giveaways and fireworks at midnight. Be sure to visit Winterfest of Lights at Northside Park for that lasting holiday memory!

Winterfest of Lights Ocean City New Year's Eve Celebration

The Town of Ocean City will be hosting a New Year’s Eve Fireworks Show at Northside Park to celebrate the beginning of 2017 and the Winterfest of Lights.  The fireworks display, which will begin promptly at midnight, will be accompanied by live entertainment, warm hot chocolate, and the opportunity to ride through the Winterfest of Lights.

Hours for the Winterfest of Lights, which was recently named a prestigious Top 100 Event by American Bus Association and voted “Maryland’s Finest Holiday Tradition” by Maryland Life Magazine, will be extended until midnight.  This family-friendly event will allow visitors to travel through the winter paradise of lights and then listen to music by a local DJ as they wait for the countdown to midnight.

With more than one million holiday lights sparkling throughout Northside Park, the Winterfest of Lights New Year’s Eve Fireworks Show will be a great way to ring in the New Year.

The annual St. Patrick's Indoor Soccer Tournament series continues to make March the most exciting month of the year at Northside Park. In its 29th year, this indoor soccer tournament grows each year, with this year's estimated total attendance to be over 170 teams over four weekends.  Tournament play begins on Friday at 5pm (Adult tournaments start as early as noon on Friday.)  If you are interested in being a part of one of these fantastic and competitive weekends, please call (410) 250-0125.

WHO: U10, U12, U14, U16, U18, and Unlimited Divisions

February 23 – 25: U18 Boys & Girls Division (2000 birth year and up, exception born in Sept. 1 – Dec. 31, 1999) and Adult Co-Rec Division (18 & over)

March 2 – 4: U12 Girls & Boys Division (2006 birth year and up) and U16 Boys & Girls Division (2002 birth year and up).

March 9 – 11: Adult Men & Women Divisions (18 and over).
