Shakespeare’s glorious tale of magical creatures, love and forgiveness on a faraway island is sure to captivate audiences. This is the story of Prospero, the rightful Duke of Milan, as he plots to restore his daughter Miranda to her rightful place using illusion and skillful manipulation. He conjures up a storm to lure his brother Antonio and the King Alonso of Naples to the island. There, his scheming brings about the revelation of Antonio’s lowly nature, the redemption of the King, and the marriage of Miranda to Alonso’s son, Ferdinand. This classic will be performed by the Olney Theatre, who is celebrating 65 years of touring this season!
