Paddling at Assateague
Assateague Island National Seashore
A paddling trip on the Sinepuxent Bay in September is a real treat. You will see lots of birds, fish, and probably some wild ponies as well. No paddling experience needed. Along the marsh the bay is only about 1-2 feet deep, so it’s a very comfortable and safe place to try out canoeing. Please prepare to get your feet wet. September 22nd is a fee free day on Assateague.
Please come and enjoy the National Seashore at no cost. The boats and life vests are provided by a generous donation from Tom Simon and SuperFun Ecotours.
In case it is too windy to paddle, we will catch some bay critters and walk the Life of the Marsh trail.
Free for Assateague Coast Trust members and $3 per person for non-members
