To start, we thank you for being interested enough in small scale, diversified and locally distributed agriculture to visit our website.
We are a family-run farm, located in Bishopville, MD just west of Ocean City and north of Berlin. Brett and Megan have built on the Mudron's vision of having a homesite which can supply and supplement more the the family's nutritional and spiritual needs.
Brett and Megan joined this journey in 2014 when they returned home to 'work on the farm'. Both have off farm jobs which financially support them. However, the farm is a daily priority and we thoroughly enjoy the work it demands from us.
This year, we will be raising chicken for meat and eggs, fruits and vegetables, hops that can be used for brewing beer and a few pigs. The meat raised will be for the family's consumption only. When available, the eggs and produce will be sold to the public either direct from the farm or to restaurants. We are focusing on simplifying this year to build off of what we learned in previous seasons.
That being said, we are going to experiment this year with a volunteer based CSA. Details in the tab above.
It's our belief that the food we eat should be grown in a way that most replicates natural processes, free of harmful inputs, sourced/distributed as locally as possible and work with the natural environment so that food production leads to true sustainability.
We are always learning, listening and adapting. We hope this years trip around the sun provides our most bountiful harvest to date. Please feel free for call, text or email during normal business hours for questions.
