BERLIN- After a highly successful inaugural Stephen Decatur Alumni Basketball Tournament last weekend, event organizers this week vowed to bring it back for Thanksgiving weekend in 2016.

The first-ever Bragging Rights tournament featuring six decades of Stephen Decatur High School men and women basketball players from 1954 to the present was a big success last Saturday with a packed gym cheering on their heroes from past Seahawk teams. The goal was to raise roughly $6,800 for a Shoot-A-Way machine for the basketball program and that mark was accomplished. It was uncertain if the alumni tournament would be a one-time deal, but after its resounding success last Saturday, organizers announced this week it would be back next year on November 26.
