If you have never been inside the Delmarva Discovery Center, we think you will be amazed. This 16,000-square-foot living museum of the cultural and natural history of the Eastern Shore has a 6,000-gallon aquarium. You can learn about Native American history, try your hand tonging for oysters or climb aboard our two-story replica Steamboat, and that is just a small taste of what there is to see and do.
Are you a “from-here”? This is your museum. Come see what it’s all about, If you are a “come-here”, take this opportunity to learn about the rich history of the Eastern Shore.
On Saturday, March 3, you can also enjoy a Dr. Seuss book reading at 2 p.m. Costumes are encouraged and the best costume will win a family membership to the DDC. All children must be accompanied by an adult. On Saturday, March 17, enjoy a St. Patrick’s Day discount. Stop by the DDC, but make sure you're wearing your green. On Saturday, March 31, come join in the fun with the DDC’s Easter Egg Hunt. Eggs will be hidden throughout the museum. Rooms will be separated by ages and the winners will receive a prize. The fun starts at 10 a.m. with crafts, face painting and a chance to meet an egg-laying animal. The Easter Egg Hunt will start at 11 a.m. The cost of this activity is included in regular admission.
Also on Saturday, March 31, from 2-3 p.m. experience, the Delmarva Discovery Center will debut Musical Traditions with Diana Wagner.
