BERLIN- Stephen Decatur’s girls’ varsity lacrosse team beat Kent Island, 13-4, on the road on Monday to improve to 2-0 on the season.

Last week, the Seahawks topped visiting Saints Peter and Paul, 16-3, at home in the opener. Payton VanKirk scored five goals and Elle Barger added three. On Monday, the Seahawks traveled to Kent Island to face Bayside North power Kent Island in the conference opener and routed the Buccaneers, 13-4. Blair Yesko had three goals and two assists, while Lexi VanKirk also scored three times and added an assist and Payton VanKirk contributed a hat trick.
