The Worcester County Bureau of Investigation and Berlin Police Department are on the scene of a shooting in Berlin. A female resident at 603 William Street was reportedly found dead by a male occupant, who also suffered gunshot wounds. The male is reportedly speaking and has been transported to PRMC in Salisbury. Pfc. Ed Schreier of Worcester County Sheriff’s Office has told Editor Steve Green, “WCBI and Berlin Police are on the scene trying to determine exactly what happened. The gentleman suffered a gunshot wound as well and we don’t know if he found the woman and then tried to commit suicide or what at this point. It’s a very fluid situation and the investigation is ongoing at this time.”
