The Seahawks entered the game with a 7-1 overall record including a 4-1 mark in the Bayside South. They were trying to keep pace with Parkside, which entered the game with a perfect 8-0 mark including a 5-0 conference record. The Seahawks played well for the most part, according to Coach Misty Bunting, but came up the short end of a 3-1 loss.
Rebecca Lederman scored the lone goal for Decatur. Lexi Gausepohl was strong in the net for the Seahawks, recording 11 saves. The loss continued a tough stretch of road games for the Seahawks to close out the regular season. Decatur played their last home game against Wicomico last Wednesday.
Because of rainouts and other changes, the Seahawks played Parkside on the road on Monday, Easton on the road on Wednesday, Wicomico again on the road last night in a game played too late to be included in this edition and close out the regular season today against Bennett.
