BERLIN- The Stephen Decatur Junior Seahawks last weekend hosted the first-ever Seahawk Showdown Wrestling Tournament at the high school featuring some of the best young talent from all over the region.

The tournament, held last Saturday at Decatur, featured young wrestlers competing in several age and weight divisions from the under-6 Tots to the 13-14 Intermediates. Among the local young wrestlers placing first in their respective divisions were Peter Snyder, Pierce Snyder, Parker Intrieri, Nico D’Amico, Michael Dougherty, Kamya Black, Anthony Caruso and Alex Koulikov, who won first in two separate divisions. Collecting second place trophies were Javion Chandler, Jagger Clapsadle and Noah Reho. Among the local wrestlers finishing third in their divisions were Rocco Ciorrocco and Noah Reho.
