Issue Highlights

The Royal Lipizzan Stallions of Austria’s 30-horse ballet performed July 9-11 at the Ocean City Convention Hall. Tickets prices ranged from $3-$6.

 

Dick and Margie Eckard, a musical duo who performed six nights per week at the Embassy Lounge in the Ambassador Hotel, were featured in Mike Elliot’s column, “After Dark”.

 

Novice fishermen are advised to charter a “headboat” and a skillful skipper in order to find the best fishing spots.

 

The eastern shore channel CATV was advertised as the “best seat at the ball game.”

 

The Angler Restaurant unveiled their new dockside patio.

 

Playland Amusement Park at 65th Street offered 42 different family-friendly attractions and “sheltered picnic areas.”

 

Resorts like the Surf and Sand Motel at 22nd Street on the Boardwalk and Nassau Motel at 60th Street on the ocean offered their guests special “gold course privileges.”
