Click Here!Born in Salisbury, he was the son of James Van Sciver and Christine Waters Wenker. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother Joan Mancuso and maternal step-grandfather, C. Michael Mancuso of Lewes, Del., step-father, Philip Wenker of Ocean City and step-mother, Paula Van Sciver of Salisbury.
Also surviving are brothers, Shane Van Sciver of Baltimore, Clint Van Sciver of Los Angeles and a sister, Lindsay La Rue of Chicago, Mollie Montgomery and her husband Christopher James Montgomery of Okinawa, Japan and Casey Wenker of Baltimore, a step sister, Crystal O’Neal and her husband Andy of Laurel, Del. and two nephews, Christopher James Montgomery, II and Jaxon Montgomery. Also surviving is an aunt and uncle, Donna Leiner and Mark Leiner of Ocean City, and an aunt, Deborah Gouert of Milton, Del., and an aunt, Amy Wyatt of Montana.
Ryan was a graduate of Stephen Decatur High School Class of 1997, attended Gettysburg College and graduated from Salisbury University Class of 2003. He had worked as a Mortgage Broker with Mortgage Protection Group, LLC in Rockville, Md. Ryan was a member of Atlantic United Methodist Church in Ocean City and a sports enthusiast that enjoyed boxing, car racing and soccer.
A funeral service was held on Monday April, 1, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Burbage Funeral Home, 108 Willliam Street in Berlin. Rev. Norman Poultney officiated. Interment followed in Evergreen Cemetery in Berlin.
