It’s beginning to look a lot like… Christmas, juuuust kidding. Here at Shorebread, we try not to rush the seasons, but it’s hard when all of our favorite towns are planning Christmas tree lightings. That’s why we’re just embracing it; yes, we appreciate Thanksgiving and all the holiday has to offer (and planning on eating our body weight in roasted turkey) but when Christmas is knocking at your door, we say, put on your Santa hat and celebrate! So happy almost Thanksgiving to all of our Shorebread buddies, we are so excited to celebrate the upcoming holiday season with you all!

Winterfest of Lights

Northside Park, November 20^th-January 4^th

It’s the event of the Christmas season here in Ocean City. More than one million holiday lights sparkle throughout Northside Park with hundreds of animated, lighted displays. Take a ride on the Winterfest Express to tour the lights, and lands in the North Pole. In addition to riding the train, relax and sip hot chocolate in the heated Winterfest Village pavilion, check a few Christmas gifts off your list as well! The hours are Sunday through Thursday, 5:30PM to 9:30 PM and Friday and Saturday through 5:30PM to 10:30PM.

3^rd Friday Downtown Salisbury

Downtown Salisbury, November 21^st

It’s another ‘happenin’ Friday in Downtown Bury! Head down to West Main Street from 5-8PM for their themed “light” night of fun; it’s a special one because it features the Annual Downtown Christmas Tree Lighting. There will be live music and local artists on the street as they perform, and show you their talents. There will be public art, urban architecture, skateboards, roller girls, pottery wheels, giant sculptures and so much more.

Cure ALS: Ten Mile Miracle

Dewey Beach, November 22^nd

Tim Hill, Vice President of Wilgus Associates, has been diagnosed with ALS/Lou Gehrigs Disease. By June 2014, he was quickly losing his ability to walk and needed a cane. Thankfully, he is improving and is going to complete a solo 10 mile walk from Dewey Beach to Bethany Beach; the walk will end at the Wilgus office at the corner of Rt. 1 and Jefferson Bridge Road. The purpose of the walk is to give ALS Patients hope and to raise funds for their special medical needs. Please come and cheer Tim on as he crosses the finish line at approximately 2 PM. 100% of donations will go straight to PRMC’s ALS clinic to purchase canes, rolling walkers, food thickener and much more.
