The Museums of Worcester County kicked-off their annual “Children’s Week” celebration on Friday, August 1^st with tons of events, activities and family-friendly games for 10 days straight in order for our area children to learn more about the history where they live. Several of our Worcester County museums have planned special activities for the week.

The 10 day event holds true to its promise to provide kid-friendly events to the areas youth with an emphasis on history while making it fun for them.

The Rackliffe House, near Assateague, will host 18^th Century games and activities on their lawn on August 5^th, 6^th and the 7^th from 1PM-4PM. Children ages 4-6 can enjoy an array of games such as Farmer in the Dell, Trap Ball, Hoops and London Bridge.

The Purnell Museum in Snow Hill will have Heritage Arts for Kids with activities including making a jar reminiscent of Native American Leather Arts on August 6^th from 1PM-3PM.

One of the more popular events is at the Delmarva Discovery Center in Pocomoke where they have daily summer programs all the way from today until the 10^th of August, offering something different each day from walks, stories, aquarium, animals and lots of crafts.
